Although my family and i have been to this area to ride motorcycles and 4X4's
I have never flown it....Should make a wonderful PPC.Ultralight field...11 mile long
SUPER flat runway...kind of like the salt flats..without the salt...though it can be dusty!

Yep...the Alvord is one of my favorite places to visit Alvord desert area 727346 Breath taking scenery that most people don't even know exist, even if they happen to live in Oregon.

Oh ..I forgot about the hot springs!...cant beat that after a long ride or flight!

Check out this great video of the Alvord Desert. This was put together by one of the guys over at BendDualSport, they just returned from a dirt bike trip at the Alvord. This video is Very well done! Alvord desert area 727346 The music selection was perfect as well.
