Ultra-Prop

Anyone out there have any experience with this prop?

I sent them an e-mail asking about what prop they would suggest for a PPC with a 503 DC. They wrote back saying that they only make up to a 59" & that with this size I "may" loose some climb performance but it would be quieter.

The reason I'm looking is because I have an IVO right now & would like something quieter & lighter then the IVO.

Any words of wisdom?

Unless things have changed since the 90s you have to use what they pitch blocks to change the pitch in the prop and with me I kept experimenting till I got the thrust I needed. It appears to be a strong prop but you don't see many of them out there.

They still use the pitch blocks.
So did you use one on a PPC? I have a neighbor who is building a Weedhopper plane with a Rotax 447 & he has one on it. Says he really likes it.

I used one on a paraplane where I took the two Solos off and installed a Kawasaki 40 hp after reworking the motor support and prop ring. Sold that plane back in late 90s. Kon't know if it is still flying or not.

if you are looking for good wood prop stick with tennessee wood props. perfectly pitched, nice looking and sounds like a real airplane!
